English soccer team Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3 – 0 to clinch the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup trophy on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
The event, which took place in 12 venues across 11 cities in the USA, saw many of the best teams in men’s club football compete for the trophy between 14 June-13 July 2025.
For the first time, the tournament featured 32 clubs, in the same format used in the FIFA World Cup.
The FIFA Club World Cup is an international men’s association football competition organized by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, the sport’s global governing body. The competition was first contested in 2000 as the FIFA Club World Championship.
